Something Phishy about this Phantom. This jet 66-0362 was actually an Egyptian F-4 with pseudo US markings on it. When they had to bring jets back to US they painted over the Egyptian markings and threw a basic set of USAF markings on them.
Photographed on a frigid February day in 1984. This jet languished in a Goldsboro NC city park until refurbished by the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing Maintenance personnel and placed on display.
I had thought this aircraft had gone the way of the dodo bird. I remember seeing it fly around years ago. It is called a TIFS (Total In-Flight Simulator) and was made from a Convair C-131.

Although the 4th FW never flew the H model this jet adorns the traffic circle in downtown Goldsboro NC, home of Seymour Johnson AFB and the 4th Fighter Wing.
